International Education

Owairoa Primary School offers opportunities to individual and group students to enrol for short-term [from one week] and for longer periods [up to six years] of study to students aged 5 to 11 years old.
 
All International Students under the age of 10, seeking to enrol at Owairoa Primary School must be accompanied by, and continue to live with, a parent for the duration of their studies at Owairoa Primary School.
 
All International Students enrolling for longer than 3 calendar months must live and continue to live with a parent, as per the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

• A full time, experienced Director of International Education, dedicated to meeting the needs and overseeing the welfare and academic progress of every aspect of international education at our school

• Personalised one on one contact with all international students, their Parents, Agents, homestay families and designated caregivers.

• A close working relationship with New Zealand based and international agencies.  We welcome the opportunity to work with reputable agents in helping us to provide a quality educational experience for our International students

• Multi-lingual support onsite including Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese

• Kiwi homestay facilitation with experienced and caring New Zealand families

• A Homestay Co-ordinator available to students, their parents and our homestay families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
