A Quest for Stories

Book Week was a highlight of the term, with an adventure theme that brought plenty of colour, creativity, and of course, lots of reading. Each day brought new excitement as students arrived in different costumes, showing off their favourite characters and stories in imaginative ways.

On Tuesday afternoon, the whole school came together for a lively parade, with “Gary Potter” (Mr Rossiter) proving to be a real crowd favourite. Later in the week, our Senior School open afternoon was a success, with parents joining in classroom activities and experiencing the learning first-hand.

Students also had the chance to explore some special extras, including the ever-popular Fun Factory, trying out VR headsets in the DDL classroom, and searching for hidden golden idols during break times. These activities, along with the many opportunities for reading and sharing stories, made for a memorable week of adventure and books.

We’re so pleased with the enthusiasm and participation from our students and whānau, Book Week has truly inspired a love of reading across our school.
