Term 2 has begun, and our Year 6 students are already stepping up to their new roles with enthusiasm and pride. This term marks the official start of school monitor responsibilities, and our senior students are embracing the chance to lead and support others across the school.
Wet Day Monitors and Mediators are already up and running, playing an important part in keeping lunchtimes calm and organised – especially on rainy days. Mediators have taken on the vital task of helping their peers navigate friendship challenges, showing empathy and problem-solving skills in the playground.
Other roles such as Art Monitors, Staffroom Monitors, Bush Walk Monitors, and Sports Shed Monitors are beginning to take shape, with meetings already underway. It’s fantastic to see our students so eager to get involved and contribute to our school community.
We’re incredibly proud of our Year 6 leaders and look forward to seeing them grow in confidence and capability as the term continues.
