After a two week winter break of cozy movie nights, chilly mornings, and family time, the school gates have opened once again. Students, teachers, and staff returned this month with renewed energy and excitement for the term ahead.
Adding to the buzz, we are thrilled to welcome visiting students from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, who will be with us for several weeks. Our students have been delighted to host them, offering school tours, helping them settle in, and including them in everyday activities. New friendships are quickly forming, and the cultural exchange is already adding something special to daily life.
Classrooms, which had been quiet during the holidays, are now alive with chatter, curiosity, and the crackle of new ideas. Teachers and learners alike are ready to dive into fresh topics, including learning about Forces, in Science. The first of which is Gravity, which offers a lot of excitement and fun! The Senior School is also looking forward to International Day – a highlight of the term where over 50 countries will be represented in a celebration of culture, food, and traditions. This is a great way for our International students to share their culture with us too.
The first couple of weeks of term have brought a lively mix of enthusiasm, nervous energy, and the comforting rhythm of school life. With new friends visiting from overseas and exciting events like International Day and Book Week on the horizon, this term is set to be one to remember.
