What an incredible day the Junior School had during Week 5. Wheels Day was a huge hit with everyone! The school was buzzing with excitement as children whizzed around on scooters, bikes, roller blades, and even remote-control cars. Some learners brought prams and gave their dolls a lovely ride too!
Everywhere you looked, there were smiling faces and squeals of joy as wheels zoomed past. It was fantastic to see the learners so enthusiastic. From the moment they arrived at school, there was a buzz in the air. They couldn’t wait to show off their wheels.
Beyond the fun, it was great to see the learners getting active. Events like Wheels Day are a brilliant reminder of how important exercise is for children. It helps them build strength, coordination, and confidence, all while having an absolute blast. Moving their bodies in different ways – whether skating, riding or even chasing after remote-control cars – is a key part of growing up healthy and happy.
We also made sure everyone understood the importance of safety. Every child wore a helmet, and we talked about why protecting your head is so important when riding. It was brilliant to see so many learners already aware of road safety and looking out for each other.
Wheels Day was a fantastic success. It got hearts pumping, faces smiling, and reminded us all how much fun it can be to get outside and move.
