Welcome back everyone. I would like to extend a special welcome to all the new families joining Owairoa this year and welcome back all our returning families as well!
It has been a wonderful first week back at school for the Seniors. They have made an excellent start to the year with nine Senior classes, four in Team 5 led by Mr Bradley, and five in Team 6 led by Miss Findley. Learning programmes are up and running in each room and the children are settling in well. Seniors will continue to have an ISTEAM day every Friday.
The swimming programme began this week and the children have enjoyed using the school pool, especially on hot days. The House Leaders assembly took place on Thursday and the House Leaders will be announced next week. Mediator training also started this week.
We are looking forward to a busy term full of exciting learning opportunities for our learners to enjoy.
