Rising to the Reading Challenge

By June 19, 2026July 3rd, 2026No Comments

The Senior School has launched an exciting new Reading Challenge, designed to encourage a love of reading through regular, enjoyable engagement with a wide range of texts. Running throughout Terms 2 and 3, the challenge encourages students to explore different genres, discover new authors, and develop positive reading habits both at school and at home.

Students are aiming to complete 20 reading challenges across the two terms, with at least one activity completed each week. Learners are also encouraged to go above and beyond, with bronze, silver, and gold certificates awarded to recognise their efforts and commitment.

The challenge also provides a valuable opportunity for families to support reading at home. To help students succeed, access to both the local library and the school library will be important, with the school library open daily from 1.00 pm.

Already, Senior School learners have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. Many students have become highly competitive and are enjoying sharing books, discussing their reading, and encouraging one another along the way.
